If N R Parmar v/s. Union of India is implemented then SSC-1996 batch will get seniority from 1996 (the year in which year were reported to SSC). In such scenario all India seniority will have to be given effect from 1996. Thus inspector's association view “ the promotion should immediately be given to the Inspectors, who joined department before All India Merit List i.e 1996 btch who joined in 2003” means that zone-wise promotion should be given to the inspectors upto 1995 batch of inspectors.
