Update by AICEIA on Historical decision by Board to open Inter-commissionerate transfer
One long standing demand of this Association, after years of relentless persuasion, has been acceded to by the CBEC. The Board met today afternoon, and in a major decision, it has decided to lift the ban on Inter – Commissionerate Transfers of Inspectors. Details are expected to be notified very shortly, probably by next week. We have met the concerned Board officials this evening and requested that the needful may kindly be done for implementing the Board’s decision immediately and we have been assured that it will be so.

I appreciate who took pain and the ban on ICT (one CCA to another CCA) lifted. This was draconian rule, and was gross injustice for those waiting for the ICT transferres.Loosing seniority on such transfer is not justifiable when a person appointed on all India exam basis. In my view, atleast once in a life time such transfer should be allowed with seniority protection clause.
it should be for preventive inspectors also
